SO, I said I'd be putting up details, so I'm putting up details. If I get anything wrong, oh well. My game, my alterations. Remember, it's in 4e. Lessgo.

The campaign starts in the world of Midgard, a land where the men are men, the gods walk the earth in mortal guise, and the earth smells of dung. Midgard is bordered by tall mountains and endless forests, home to fearsome beasts and powerful warriors.

In the center of the world grows the world tree Yggdrasil, which supports the cosmos itself, from which the war god Odin hung as a sacrifice to himself. A mile away from this mighty ash is a great arena in the greatest of mortal warrior towns. It is there that your adventure begins, great heroes.

For from all the corners of the world, mighty warriors have been called upon to fight for great honor, glory, and the favor of the gods. As the battle is underway, suddenly, fire rips across the sky, and the earth shakes mightily! It is up to you to discover why, mighty heroes! Go forth into a world fraught with danger, and discover your destiny as true men of might and magic!

Race and class changes! So, as far as I'm concerned, most races and classes are allowed. This includes those from the PHB, PHB2, FR, and Dragon. I don't have anything from Eberron yet, so my judgement is no yet passed upon it.

However, I do have a list of what is NOT allowed. So far: Warforged, Drow, Shadar-Kai, and nonhuman humanoids (I.e: Kobolds, lizardfolk, etc.)

The -Maybe- list consists of Dragonborn, Tieflings, Half-Orcs, and Gnomes.

Changed Races:

Eladrin no longer get a +to int upon character creation. Instead, they gain +cha. Holing yourself away up in the towers of Alfheim being pretty doesn't do much for your smarts. However, magic courses easily through your veins, being so close to magic itself.

Devas are no longer Devas. They are earthbound Valkyries. Instead of +int they now have +str and favor the paladin and cleric classes. They may fly up to their movement speed for a number of rounds equal to half their character level as an encounter power, and once a day, they may, as a standard action, allow a dying creature who fell in battle to regain hit points as if he had spent a healing surge. Of course, this race is female only.

Genasi as creatures born of the elements, and as such, are chaotic and very wildly depending on what element they are born into. For example, Fire Genasi have +cha instead of +int, for a being made of fire is rather hard not to notice. Their skill bonuses are to athletics and bluff. Ask me personally about each one, should you be interested in this race.

Oh, and Goliaths have not bald and generally much more hairy. They're now known has half-Jotnar (Half giants). Because... Duh.

Class changes: None yet. 4e classes are pretty damn awesome. Though you can't be sure.

To get into the spirit of the game, I recommend looking through a lot of Courage Wolf [link] , listening to a lot of Dragonforce [link] and Manowar [link] , And perhaps even watching some G Gundam [link] or Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann [link] . Also looking into Kenpachhi Zaraki's squad eleven of Bleach fame. They have the right idea of how to live and be manly.
